Artisti in dialogo
There are no contracts between us. There are no clauses, deadlines, or obligations. Yet we are here. They know we are here, we know they are here. It's a silent pact, made of gazes that recognize each other, of paths that intersect without the need for maps.
These artists are not "ours" in the possessive sense of the word. They are traveling companions, accomplices to a vision. We feel close to them because their work breathes with our breath, because we share questions more than answers, after all the beauty they pursue is also our obsession.
So here is who they are, described with the simplicity of those who admire them without fear of saying so.

Non esistono contratti tra noi. Non ci sono clausole, scadenze o obblighi. Eppure ci siamo. Loro sanno che noi ci siamo, noi sappiamo che loro ci sono. È un patto silenzioso, fatto di sguardi che si riconoscono, di percorsi che si incrociano senza bisogno di mappe.
Questi artisti non sono "nostri" nel senso possessivo del termine. Sono compagni di viaggio, complici di una visione. Li sentiamo vicini perché il loro lavoro respira con il nostro respiro, perché condividiamo domande più che risposte, perché la bellezza che inseguono è anche la nostra ossessione.
Ecco dunque chi sono, raccontati con la semplicità di chi li ammira senza paura di dirlo.
Alice Padovani
Alice collects. She gathers dead insects, fragments of nature, memories that time would erase. With the methodical spirit of an eighteenth-century scientist and the soul of a poet, she transforms these finds into installations, drawings, and sculptures that are both heaps and traces. Her art fights time, seeking to bring order to chaos, creating emotional encyclopedias where every element speaks of wonder and horror. Trained in philosophy, theater, and the visual arts, today she constructs her world of metal cages filled with fabrics, entomological display cases, and papers teeming with signs. Her studio in Modena is a private museum where the fragility of things becomes strength.

Alice colleziona. Raccoglie insetti morti, frammenti di natura, ricordi che il tempo avrebbe cancellato. Con lo spirito metodico di una scienziata del Settecento e l'anima di una poetessa, trasforma questi reperti in installazioni, disegni e sculture che sono al tempo stesso cumuli e tracce. La sua arte combatte il tempo, cercando di dare ordine al caos, creando enciclopedie emozionali dove ogni elemento parla di meraviglia e orrore. Formatasi in filosofia, teatro e arti visive, oggi costruisce il suo mondo di gabbie metalliche piene di tessuti, teche entomologiche e carte brulicanti di segni. Il suo studio a Modena è un museo privato dove la fragilità delle cose diventa forza.

Skin is everything to Enrica. Not the skin we see, but the skin that separates the inside from the outside, the secret from the outward. With beeswax, meticulous drawings, and anatomical sculptures, she constructs relics of bodies in perpetual transformation. Her hands tell silent stories, her faces emerge as if from a restless dream, her works seem to have emerged from a Renaissance cabinet of curiosities but speak of today, of our fragility, of our masks. Trained in philosophy, literature, and the Brera Museum, she works in a studio overflowing with mineral and organic finds. The recognizable becomes something else, cloaked in obscure meanings. And you, standing before her works, don't know whether to feel fascination or fear. Perhaps both.

La pelle è tutto per Enrica. Non quella che vediamo, ma quella che separa il dentro dal fuori, il segreto dal dichiarato. Con cere d'api, disegni minuziosi e sculture anatomiche costruisce reliquie di corpi in perpetua mutazione. Le sue mani raccontano storie silenziose, i suoi volti emergono come da un sogno inquieto, le sue opere sembrano uscite da un gabinetto di curiosità rinascimentale ma parlano di oggi, della nostra fragilità, delle nostre maschere. Formata tra filosofia, lettere e Brera, lavora in uno studio invaso da reperti minerali e organici. Il riconoscibile diventa altro, si ammanta di significati oscuri.
E tu, davanti alle sue opere, non sai se provare fascino o timore. Forse entrambi.

Caterina Crepax
Daughter of an artist (her father is Guido Crepax, creator of Valentina), Caterina chose paper as her father chose a pencil. But not to draw: to sculpt. Her paper dresses are ephemeral and precious creatures, bodies without bodies that preserve the memory of movement. An architect by training, she transforms receipts, shredded paper, and oriental tissue paper into impossible fabrics that seem silk but are instead air and light. Her works are ironic metamorphoses, subtle interplays between lightness and structure, between the precious and the discarded. In her Milanese atelier, which was her father's studio, she continues to create three-dimensional magic that makes us smile and marvel at the same time. For her, paper is not a limit: it is an infinite universe.

Figlia d'arte (suo padre è Guido Crepax, il creatore di Valentina), Caterina ha scelto la carta come il padre scelse la matita. Ma non per disegnare: per scolpire. I suoi abiti di carta sono creature effimere e preziose, corpi senza corpi che conservano la memoria del movimento. Architetto di formazione, trasforma scontrini fiscali, carta triturata, veline orientali in tessuti impossibili che sembrano seta e invece sono aria e luce. Le sue opere sono ironiche metamorfosi, giochi sottili tra leggerezza e struttura, tra il prezioso e lo scartato. Nel suo atelier milanese, che fu lo studio del padre, continua a creare magie tridimensionali che fanno sorridere e meravigliare insieme. La carta per lei non è un limite: è un universo infinito.

Daphne van der Velde
Daphne wanted to be a dancer, but life took her elsewhere. Or maybe not: because her body is still at the center of everything she creates. A Dutch multimedia artist, she transforms photography into sculpture, the plate into three-dimensional, the image into the body. Photographic paper becomes skin, manipulated, folded, wounded. Her works explore boundaries: between inside and outside, between intimacy and threat, between desire and fear. Performances, installations, videos: everything in her work explores that transition zone where our self meets the other. Trained in architecture and photography (graduating cum laude), she now lives in Arnhem and creates works that cannot fail to impress. Hers is a powerful, autobiographical visual language that visualizes the feminine in a world still too masculine.

Daphne voleva fare la danzatrice, ma la vita l'ha portata altrove. O forse no: perché il suo corpo è ancora al centro di tutto quello che crea. Artista multimediale olandese, trasforma la fotografia in scultura, il piatto in tridimensionale, l'immagine in corpo. La carta fotografica diventa pelle, manipolata, piegata, ferita. Le sue opere parlano di confini: tra l'interno e l'esterno, tra l'intimità e la minaccia, tra il desiderio e la paura. Performance, installazioni, video: tutto nel suo lavoro è esplorazione di quella zona di transizione dove il nostro io incontra l'altro. Formata tra architettura e fotografia (laurea cum laude), oggi vive ad Arnhem e crea opere che non ti lasciano indifferente. Il suo è un linguaggio visivo potente, autobiografico, che visualizza il femminile in un mondo ancora troppo maschile.

Valentin Bakardjiev
A Bulgarian artist living in Amsterdam, Valentin speaks the universal language of ancient craftsmanship applied to contemporary art. He works with indigo-dyed corn husks, transforming them into works that resemble butterfly wings. His project, "The Butterfly Effect," is an ecological manifesto dressed in beauty: it reminds us of our roots, the fragility of the planet, and the importance of preserving what we have. Trained in Bulgaria, the Dominican Republic, Italy, and the Netherlands, his work conveys the belief that the world is one, without borders. His techniques are ancient (Japanese shibori, natural dyes), his message urgently contemporary. Each corn hue becomes a sustainable poem, each shade of blue speaks of our great blue planet.

Un artista bulgaro che vive ad Amsterdam e parla la lingua universale dell'artigianato antico applicato all'arte contemporanea. Valentin lavora con foglie di mais tinte con indigo, trasformandole in opere che sembrano ali di farfalla. Il suo progetto "The Butterfly Effect" è un manifesto ecologico vestito di bellezza: ci ricorda le nostre radici, la fragilità del pianeta, l'importanza di preservare ciò che abbiamo. Formato tra Bulgaria, Repubblica Dominicana, Italia e Olanda, porta nelle sue opere la convinzione che il mondo sia uno, senza confini. Le sue tecniche sono antiche (shibori giapponese, tinture naturali), il suo messaggio urgentemente contemporaneo. Ogni foglia di mais diventa poesia sostenibile, ogni colore blu racconta del nostro grande pianeta blu.
