Alessia Lupo Cecchet

II Premio ex aequo

The film "Balaena" explores the transience of human and animal experience, an aspect that unites humans and nonhumans. Through
the visual analysis of a beached whale, the film invites the viewer to reflect on the finitude of life, the decomposition of the body, and the ephemerality of our existence. The whale in the film provides a perspective for reevaluating
our fears of death and decay, offering a way to consider the interdependence of organisms and the value of empathy.patia.

Marijke de Pous

Brigitte Amargers

II Premio ex aequo

The work selected for the ArteAlta competition is part of the series
"Choreographies of Care and Resistance." This piece in particular addresses the fear of losing control in relation to internal and external turmoil. We find ourselves in a battle we cannot win. The more we try to
tame our fears, the more our world shrinks and the less connected we feel to others. What would happen if we allowed ourselves to let go?

III Premio

When we confront fear,
guided by survival instincts and
hope, it forces us to rise and pushes us forward, allowing us to grow and explore new horizons.

Enrica Berselli

I Premio

With the wax sculpture Senza Umane Interferenze (Without Human Interferences), the artist evokes what impedes the path: three limbs, constantly mutating as if to evade the moment of recognition, emerge from the wall as if to restrain those who happen to be walking beside them. "Do fears work for our own good, to encourage greater caution, to contain unreasonable impulses, or are they rather a limit to be recognized and overcome?" - Enrica Berselli
