From the experience of ArteAlta 2024, which last year had already charted a path of exploration between art and territory, comes an exhibition that goes beyond the sum of its parts. Alessia and Marijke have chosen not only to share the prize, but to jointly construct an expansive, fluid, and intense exhibition. "WON'T BE TAMED" is the fruit of a genuine collaboration, a rare artistic symbiosis, where voices harmonize without ever canceling each other out. The project unfolds in a rich and immersive journey, exploring different languages and media: video, performance, installation, graphic design, drawing, and sculpture. Each work engages with the others in a continuous interplay of senses and sensations, an emotional map that the viewer is invited to explore without defenses. The concept stems from a shared desire to explore what cannot be tamed: instinct, the body, memory, trauma, and nature.
“WON’T BE TAMED” is a title, a declaration of intent, a quiet but unstoppable cry. In a world that seeks to discipline, domesticate, and pigeonhole, these two artists choose to remain untamable. To walk the margins, to deconstruct and reconstruct, to transform fear into beauty.
This is what art should always do: remain free. And teach us, with its stubborn delicacy, to do the same.

Dall’esperienza di ArteAlta 2024, che già lo scorso anno aveva tracciato un sentiero di esplorazione tra arte e territorio, nasce una mostra che va oltre la somma delle parti. Alessia e Marijke hanno scelto non solo di condividere il premio, ma di costruire insieme una mostra espansa, fluida, intensa. “WON’T BE TAMED” è il frutto di una collaborazione autentica, di una simbiosi artistica rara, dove le voci si armonizzano senza mai annullarsi. Il progetto si articola in un percorso ricco e immersivo, che attraversa linguaggi e media differenti: video, performance, installazioni, grafica, disegno, scultura. Ogni opera dialoga con le altre in un continuo rimando di sensi e sensazioni, in una mappa emotiva che lo spettatore è invitato a percorrere senza difese.
Il concept nasce dalla volontà condivisa di esplorare ciò che non può essere domato: l’istinto, il corpo, la memoria, il trauma, la natura. “WON’T BE TAMED” è un titolo, una dichiarazione d’intenti, un urlo sommesso ma inarrestabile. In un mondo che cerca di disciplinare, addomesticare, incasellare, queste due artiste scelgono di restare indomabili. Di camminare ai margini, di scomporre e ricostruire, di trasformare la paura in bellezza. È questo che l’arte dovrebbe sempre fare: restare libera.
E insegnarci, con la sua ostinata delicatezza, a fare lo stesso.
